QOTD #00053: “If you could travel back in time, what would you urge your younger self to NOT do?”

First rule of time travel - don't do anything to greatly alter the future. But... we all have our regrets, and would kill for a chance to go back and change them. If you were to go back in time to your younger self, what would you stop them from doing? What is worth altering time?

Keep an eye on those brows.
“Um, if I can travel back in time and tell myself not to do something, it would be, 'Don't get your eyebrows done so young, and don't just do it with a different person all the time 'cuz they can possibly be messing it up.' So, you know, get your eyebrows done with the same lady, make sure it's a good lady, and make sure she doesn't mess up your eyebrows.”

Save the pain, ditch the lady.
“If I could travel back in time and tell myself to not do something, or do it differently - Shh ... I would tell myself to not get married the first time to the wrong woman. Oh, oh, I would save myself so much misery if I could just go back in time and do that.”

Say no to neon.
“I would probably urge myself not to - I wish I didn't do this - I wish I didn't paint my room neon color because that was a really bad decision. At the moment I thought it was cool, but it was a pain in the butt to paint my room all over again to this kind of color.”

Balance out those brows.
“Okay, so if I could travel back in time and tell myself not to do something, it would be to not overpluck my eyebrows. Thankfully, they grew back, but all throughout college I overplucked them or I let them grow too bushy, and it was always just an issue. Um, so I went abroad and it changed my life, at 19, and all throughout abroad, um, sorry to be that girl - but all throughout abroad, I had literally no eyebrows - literally, no eyebrows. And I feel like I just missed a great opportunity to be my best self abroad because I had no eyebrows, and that is something I would tell myself not to do. Don't overpluck your eyebrows.”

“If I could go back in time, I would tell my younger self not to worry at all about what other people think. My younger self spent way too much time worrying about what other people thought of me. Shoulda not worried at all.”
